Aglianico Contado Riserva 2017 – Di Majo Norante

Contado is Di Majo Norante's pure Aglianico Riserva, from the Campomarino winery that more than any other has brought Molise wine to a wider audience. The vineyards of the Ramitello estate lie a few kilometres from the Adriatic and are farmed organically.

The wine ages in wood and then in bottle, the time a tannic grape like Aglianico needs to soften. Deep ruby red, with aromas of ripe berries, chocolate and liquorice; the palate is full, smooth and persistent.

A structured red that is easy to love, great for everyday drinking and ideal with lamb, ragù, cured meats and aged cheeses. One of the best-value wines of Southern Italy.
