Benefizio Riserva 2023 – Frescobaldi

Frescobaldi has been making wine in Tuscany for over seven hundred years. Castello Pomino, in the Florentine hills, is the family's white wine estate, and Benefizio is its signature wine: a pure Chardonnay, one of the most recognisable Tuscan whites, made to age with structure and depth.

The Benefizio Riserva 2023 is a Pomino Bianco DOC made from 100% Chardonnay. It matures for ten months in French barriques, half new and half first-use, and a further four months in bottle before release.

Bright yellow with golden highlights. On the nose citrus, vanilla and cinnamon; on the palate white flowers and toasted notes, with a creamy finish reminiscent of white chocolate. It pairs with vegetable creams, baked fish and caviar; serve at 10-12 °C and, if possible, open 15-30 minutes beforehand. Already pleasant to drink, with excellent cellaring potential.
