Desiderio is the Merlot of Avignonesi, the historic Montepulciano estate, and one of the first great Tuscan Merlots: the first vintage was 1988. With the 2013 harvest it turned 25, and for the occasion it was released in this limited edition with a dedicated label.

In recent years Avignonesi has switched to biodynamic farming, and Desiderio has gained in precision: less opulence, more freshness and definition, while keeping Merlot's typical softness.

This is a wooden case of six bottles, designed for anyone who wants to follow the wine's evolution over the years, or for an important gift. In the glass: black fruit, plum, cocoa and sweet spice, with velvety tannins. With red meat, roasts and aged cheeses.
