Chateau Musar is the winery that put Lebanese wine on the world map: founded by Gaston Hochar in 1930, it became legendary under his son Serge, who kept making wine even through the years of the civil war. The Musar Jeune range is the entry point to the house style, made to be enjoyed young.
Jeune Blanc comes from young vines in the Bekaa Valley, the high plateau between Lebanon's two mountain ranges, where altitude brings cool nights even in summer. Viognier, Vermentino and Chardonnay are vinified without any oak, to keep the fruit and freshness intact.
The 2023 is an aromatic, crisp white: passion fruit, apple, elderflower and a touch of citrus, with a dry, savoury finish. Great as an aperitif, with Lebanese mezze, hummus, grilled fish and spiced dishes. An original and affordable way to discover a great name.
