Baron de L 2022 – De Ladoucette

De Ladoucette is the best-known name in Pouilly-Fumé: the family has owned vineyards here since 1787 and is based at Château du Nozet, on the right bank of the Loire opposite Sancerre. Baron de L is the house's prestige cuvée, created to show the most refined face of Pouilly Sauvignon Blanc.

It comes from a careful selection of grapes and is made to highlight purity and minerality. The region's limestone and flint soils, the silex that gives the wine its characteristic smoky note, are the key to its style.

2022 was a warm, sunny vintage that produced rich, ripe whites. In the glass, citrus, white fruit, flint and a subtle smoky note, with a long, savoury finish. Perfect with raw seafood, oysters, risottos and baked fish, and also with goat's cheese.
