The Coste della Sesia 2019 DOC by Colombera & Garella is an authentic and vibrant Piedmontese red wine, made from native grape varieties and a unique terroir in the Roasio woods, in the Sesia River basin.
Produced from a blend of Nebbiolo (70%), Croatina (15%), and Vespolina (15%), this wine reflects the same composition as the more renowned Bramaterra, but comes from a single 5-hectare plot planted on yellow sand, volcanic rock, and alluvial soils with porphyry, which lend minerality and tension to the palate. Vinification is artisanal, with spontaneous fermentation and aging in wood, following a garagista and biodynamic production philosophy.
The Coste della Sesia 2019 presents a bright ruby red color. On the nose, it offers notes of fresh red fruits, spices, aromatic herbs, and a hint of floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and dynamic, with fine tannins and a lovely acidity, making it extremely gastronomic and versatile.
Colombera & Garella is a young and visionary winery, founded in the 1990s and brought to success by Cristiano Garella, an expert winemaker of the terroirs of Alto Piemonte. Production is limited to approximately 3,000 bottles, making this wine an exclusive choice for enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
