Tenuta Fertuna is located in Gavorrano, in the province of Grosseto, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, where a warm, breezy climate and the proximity of the sea give ripe grapes with good freshness. Pactio is the estate's flagship red: a Toscana IGT that combines international varieties with Sangiovese in a full-bodied, approachable wine.
The 2022 Pactio is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. After vinification the wine is aged in barrique for about four months and then rests further in bottle before release.
Deep ruby red, with a broad fruity bouquet of red fruit and notes of vanilla. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with well-integrated tannins. It pairs with game, red meat, cured meats and aged cheeses.
