Di Majo Norante is the Campomarino winery that more than any other has brought Molise wine to a wider audience. The vineyards of the Ramitello estate lie a few kilometres from the Adriatic and are farmed organically. Terre degli Osci, the IGT used for the estate's simpler wines, is named after the ancient Italic people who once lived here.
It is a pure Sangiovese aged in stainless steel: no oak, to keep the grape's fruit and freshness, which near the sea ripens more generously and softly than in Tuscany.
The 2020 is ruby red, with aromas of cherry, plum and a light spicy note; the palate is fresh and round, with soft tannins. An everyday red offering excellent value, perfect with pasta with ragù, pizza, cured meats, grilled meat and young cheeses.
