Tenores 2015 – Dettori

Tenute Dettori is at Badde Nigolosu, near Sennori in the Romangia area, on the hills north of Sassari overlooking the Gulf of Asinara. Alessandro Dettori is one of the most uncompromising voices in Italian natural wine: no additives, no added sulphites, no fining or filtration. Tenores takes its name from canto a tenore, Sardinia's traditional polyphonic singing.

It is a pure Cannonau from bush vines around eighty years old, rigorously hand-selected. The wine ferments spontaneously in concrete vats without temperature control and is left to mature for as long as it needs.

The 2015 is a powerful red with high but well-integrated alcohol: ripe red fruit, Mediterranean scrub, spice and an earthy note, with depth and surprising freshness. A Cannonau unlike any other. With lamb, suckling pig, aged Sardinian pecorino, or on its own.

At a glance: Cannonau 100% · 16.5% ABV · 0.75 l · Dettori, Sennori (SS)
