Bosio is a family estate in Franciacorta, best known for its sparkling wines, which also makes the still wines of the Curtefranca appellation. Zenighe takes its name from the locality in Corte Franca where the grapes are grown and is the house's most ambitious red.
It is a Merlot-led Bordeaux blend with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The grapes ferment and macerate in temperature-controlled stainless steel for a period that varies by variety, then the wine ages for eighteen months in barriques before bottling.
The 2022 is deep ruby, with red fruit, the herbal and spicy notes typical of Bordeaux varieties and a hint of leather; the palate is balanced, with elegant tannins and good length. Pair with grilled red meat, roasts, game and medium-aged cheeses.
