Foradori is the flagship Teroldego of Elisabetta Foradori's estate at Mezzolombardo, the winery that more than any other has put this native grape of the Piana Rotaliana back in the spotlight. Massal selection from old vines, biodynamic farming since the early 2000s, and today a management shared with her children.
The grapes come from around nine hectares of vineyards on alluvial gravel and sand, laid down over centuries by the Noce river. Fermentation takes place in concrete and the roughly twelve months of ageing are split between cask and concrete: no quest for opulence, but fruit, savouriness and precision.
The 2024 is the youngest vintage on the market: purple in colour, with blackberry, blueberry and violet, a touch of pepper and a fresh, juicy palate with fine tannins. Enjoy it with pasta in meat sauce, Trentino cured meats, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses; a few more months in bottle will bring further harmony.
