Langhe Nebbiolo 2016 – Camerano

Camerano is one of the historic families of the village of Barolo: the winery was founded in 1875 and wine has been made without interruption in the same family cellar ever since, today run by Vittorio Camerano. The family vineyards include famous crus such as Cannubi San Lorenzo and Terlo.

The Langhe Nebbiolo expresses the house style without Barolo's long ageing times: pure Nebbiolo, traditionally vinified, with ageing designed to respect the grape's finesse rather than add oak.

2016 is one of the finest Langhe vintages of recent decades, fresh and balanced. The wine now has some years in bottle and moves between ripe red fruit, rose, spice and the first evolved notes, with tannins that have softened. A classic, well-built Nebbiolo to serve with agnolotti del plin, tajarin with ragù, roast white meats and medium-aged cheeses.
