Nebbiolo 2025 – Luigi Pira
Luigi Pira founded the winery in 1950 in Serralunga d'Alba with his wife Rosa. Since the 1990s his son Gianpaolo has worked in the business, now together with his brothers Romolo and Claudio. About 12 hectares, mostly in Serralunga, in the Vignarionda, Marenca and Margheria plots.
The Langhe Nebbiolo comes from about 1.5 hectares of vineyard and ages for 12 months in oak.
Wild berries, blackcurrant and sweet cherry, with a finish that moves from smoke to liquorice. Serve at 16-18 °C with grilled meats and flavourful dishes.
