Cascina Ballarin is the Viberti family's estate at La Morra: a family business that has grown Nebbiolo in the heart of the appellation for generations and makes Barolo from single vineyards.
Bricco Rocca is one of the estate's crus, a pure Nebbiolo fermented on the skins and aged at length in wood, following the classic Barolo template.
2007 was a warm, early vintage that produced rich, generous Barolos from the start. Almost twenty years after the harvest the wine is well into its evolution: ripe red fruit and cherries in spirit, dried rose, tobacco, leather, forest floor and spice, with tannins now silky. A mature Barolo at a fair price for its age, to pair with beef braised in Barolo, roasts, mushrooms and aged cheeses.
