Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Acinatico 2020 – Stefano Accordini

Stefano Accordini is a family winery in Valpolicella Classica, with roots in viticulture going back to the early 20th century. Today it is run by Stefano's sons, who have made it one of the most respected names in the area, with great attention to sustainability in the vineyard and the cellar.

The Amarone is made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grown on the hills of the Classico zone. The best bunches are dried for a few months in the fruttaio, then the wine matures in wood, in barriques and larger casks, and rests in bottle before release.

The 2020 is enveloping and harmonious: dried red fruit, cherries in spirit, sweet spice and cocoa, with serious structure supported by lovely freshness. Try it with braised meats, game, red meat roasts and aged cheeses.
