La Gemma – Nembri Alessandro
La Gemma is the red of the range bearing the Nembri Alessandro name and selected by PaNeVino: a wine we chose so we could always offer an honest, enjoyable bottle for every day. It comes from Oltrepò Pavese, Lombardy's large wine area south of the Po, and is bottled as Provincia di Pavia IGT.
It is a pure Croatina, the most typical red grape of the Oltrepò and the same one behind Bonarda: a grape rich in colour and fruit, with lively tannins.
Deep ruby in the glass, with aromas of cherry, blackberry and plum and a light spicy note; the palate is juicy and straightforward. A table wine in the best sense: perfect with cured meats, pasta with ragù, risotto, boiled meats and cheese. An everyday wine offering excellent value.
