Villa Trasqua is a Chianti Classico estate with a history of winegrowing documented in the land registers. Nerento is its oldest vineyard, on soils of alberese (limestone) and galestro (marl).
100% Sangiovese from that vineyard, fermented in 50 hl wooden casks and aged for about 30 months in 500-litre French oak tonneaux.
A structured Gran Selezione, with dense, velvety tannins and a streak of acidity that carries the palate. Serve at 17-18 °C with pasta, grilled meats and aged cheeses.
